The children of Primary 6 and 7 took part in the Fr Finnegan Gaelic tournament on Friday 6th May 2011, hosted by Blessed Patrick O'Loughran Primary school, Castlecaulfield.
The competitive tournament, held every year for Key Stage 2 pupils, was a closely fought event with the children of St. Mary's doing their school proud, winning their two group games 3.16 to 1.0 and 2.1 to 0.1.
They were unlucky to lose out in the semi-final with only one 'kick of the ball' seperating the two teams in the end, but an enjoyable day was had by all.
