NI Book Week 2025
This week we have been celebrating all things books and reading!
Throughout the week our pupils have engaged in activities and workshops that promote and encourage a love books.
From author and illustrator studies, listening to audiobooks, sharing books with one another and taking part in a book quiz, we had lots of fun exploring the magic of books.
Stay tuned to see pictures of our NI Book Week activities.
Libraries NI have outlined how powerful reading can be.
'It’s more than a pastime – it’s a way to relax, connect, learn, and thrive. Whether you’re enjoying a story with your children, switching off from screens, or sparking conversation with others , reading offers countless benefits:
A Workout for the Brain: Improves memory and cognitive skills
A Stress Buster: Reading helps you relax and unwind
A Role Model: Demonstrates to children the value of books
A Focus Booster: Strengthens concentration and attention span
A Literacy Lift: Expands vocabulary and language skills
A Sleep Enhancer: A bedtime read is the perfect wind-down routine'
